Real find for collector of teapots! Antique English Victorian teapot , produced by Jackfield, England. Hand painted. Mid-late 19th century

"Jackfield" is type of English red pottery with black glaze, often decorated with gold-plated trim. The name "Jackfield" has become a common term for any pottery made in Shropshire and Staffordshire, having the same characteristics - black enamel and gold drawing. It is also known as "japanned ware"

This type of ceramics was first made by Maurice Thursfield, in Jackfield, near Coalport in Shropshire, England in 1750
Our antique Victorian teapot has slight chip on spout and slight wear of the gilding, not significant for the age of product. Approximate time of production is 1840 -1890 (according to factory mark)

Presence of original stamp of manufacture: a monogram with images of letters H, W and J, B, as well as the number No 714, and inscription "Made in England"
