Real find for collector of teapots! Antique English Victorian teapot , produced by Jackfield, England. Hand painted

"Jackfield" is type of English red pottery with black glaze, often decorated with gold-plated trim. The name "Jackfield" has become a common term for any pottery made in Shropshire and Staffordshire, having the same characteristics - black enamel and gold drawing. It is also known as "japanned ware"

This type of ceramics was first made by Maurice Thursfield, in Jackfield, near Coalport in Shropshire, England in 1750

Our antique Victorian style kettle in good condition. We can`t accurately determine age of teapot but assumed that production dates was late 19th - early 20th centuries
